Type of position: Part time/non exempt
Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week
Compensation: $25 per hour

About us: All Peoples Church Twin Cities in Minnesota is part of a global movement of churches based out of San Diego, California. Our purpose is to transform lives to bless the Twin Cities and to plant churches that will transform the world. Our community launched in the summer of 2023. We began meeting in homes that fall, and are now meeting corporately in a rented facility on Sunday mornings.
Summary of position: The Summer Children’s Ministry Coordinator position is an interim position which will be re-evaluated at the end of the summer, and possibly open for long-term employment.
This person will work in tandem with the pastoral staff to create optimal environments for our youngest disciples to learn and grow as followers of Jesus. This will be accomplished by facilitating weekly kids ministry experiences; training and leading volunteers, selecting content and curriculum week-to-week, and curating spaces for play and learning.
Weekly Tasks:
- Attend staff meetings on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM (currently remote).
- Prepare Kids Curriculum weekly and send out to volunteers by the end of the day Thursday.
- Ensure that volunteers are confirmed in Planning Center Services to serve each Sunday and find replacements if needed.
- Communicate with volunteers after serving to get feedback on the morning and follow up with families as needed.
- Send a weekly communication to parents on WhatsApp with any upcoming events.
Sundays:
- Arrive at 8:30 AM to prepare spaces for Kids Ministry.
- Attend volunteer huddle at 9:15 AM and lead Kids huddle at 9:40 AM.
- Serve as Kids-Lead 3 times/month in June, July, and August.
- Be available on Sundays that you aren’t leading to step in to help with behavioral issues and to coach room leads.
- Clean up and tear down Kids Ministry to ensure space is left well.
Monthly:
- Plan and lead a volunteer training in June.
- Plan and lead a parent meeting in June.
- Plan a monthly family-friendly event in June, July, and August to build community among APC families (kickball, park meet up, grill out, etc.).
- Plan and lead a 2x month Summer discipleship group for 5th/6th grade girls to grow deeper in faith and friendship.

Location and working hours:
Sunday mornings from 8:30am-12:30am will be in person at our church rental facility.
Additional hours for preparation and family ministry will be a combination of remote and in-person.
