Director of Tech Bridge Program
Tech Foundry, Western MA’s IT-focused workforce development organization, seeks a Director of its new Tech Bridge program. This new initiative creates a new pathway for talented Springfield Public School graduates who are interested in tech. These individuals are young adults who can thrive in a hands-on, dynamic program with a variety of experiences including intentional team building, community service, work experience and mentoring. Tech Bridge graduates will be prepared for both college and career – and will be supported in pursuing both pathways based upon their personal goals.
The successful Tech Bridge Director will be an energetic, warm and motivating leader, with a background in education, workforce development, youth programming or a related field. Responsibilities will include: program development and execution, supervision of instructional staff, student coaching and support, significant team building efforts and activities, cultivation and management of community partnerships and program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts. The Director’s “can-do”, solutions-oriented approach will ensure outstanding program development, creation of team culture and excellence of program delivery, as well as compliance, adherence to project and operational deadlines and consistency of processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- proven track record of empathetic and joyful program leadership
- 7-10 years+ of nonprofit, education, workforce and/or youth program leadership experience
- the ability to identify, develop and execute program objectives
- excellent organizational, communication and project management skills
- demonstrated ability to work on a small, highly collaborative team
- effective multi-tasking and communication skills
- solutions orientation, including identifying and overcoming obstacles
- experience with, or willingness to learn, coaching and mentoring teens and young adults through a trauma-informed lens
- eagerness to organize and run team-building activities with the students, such as hiking/nature exploration, arts activities, community service, etc.
- knowledge of/commitment to DEI principles and priorities.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge or experience related to secondary or post-secondary education and training and/or workforce/economic development experience; curriculum and program development, strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, bilingual skills.

Salary range: $72,000-76,000, full benefits including extremely generous PTO.
