Grant Writer- The Ministry of Caring

The Grant Writer serves in a capacity-building position, raising financial support for the Ministry of Caring's network of programs.
This volunteer completes applications for corporate, foundation, and government grants. Grant administration activities include writing thank you letters, tracking grants received and organizing grant reporting.
Additional duties include: research to identify new sources of funding, collaboration on fundraising strategy with development staff, and departmental administration.  The individual may have the opportunity to participate in fundraising events.
The Grant Writer will also experience direct service one day/per week at one of the Ministry of Caring's program sites.

Writing letters.
Completing grant applications.
Tracking grant applications.
Participating to fundraising activities.
Maintaining grant proposal files.
The LVC volunteer will also provide on day each week of direct services. Options for direct service include hunger relief, emergency shelter and child care.
