Program Analyst, 10,000 Small Businesses Program

Position Summary

ICIC is a national partner on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program, managing and advising on outreach, application and selection processes across all locations. As an Analyst on the Business Transformation Team (BTT), you will play a pivotal role in supporting outreach, recruitment, application, and selection processes for the 10KSB program. Collaborating with internal team members and external stakeholders, you’ll conduct operational tasks, help streamline processes, and support programmatic goals. The Analyst will be supervised by the 10KSB Deputy Director with a dotted line reporting structure to the BTT Director for additional professional guidance.

The position offers unique opportunities for increasing responsibility and exposure to influential external stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

10KSB Site Support of (50%)

  • Support Associates to coordinate outreach, recruitment, application, and selection processes in partnership with local program staff.
  • Manage and analyze program data using CRM systems, applicant trackers, and internal databases.
  • Present program metrics to funder and program partners.

10KSB Participant Selection (20%)

  • Communicate with applicants to assist with outreach and the application process.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting program participants as a supporting member of the National Selection Committee.

Internal Support (20%)

  • Collaborate with department team members on committees related to program sponsorship development, data reporting, and toolkit creation
  • Participate in cross-departmental committees working on ICIC’s program recruitment, impact reporting, and annual conference

Travel (10%)

  • Travel to local 10KSB sites to interview program candidates
  • Attend conferences and sponsored partner events to promote the program

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, solutions-oriented individual with a passion for small business development and economic equity.

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) OR 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word and Excel skills required)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent, written, verbal, and analytical skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-faced environment
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of annual time (may increase over time)

Preferred:

  • Experience preparing and conducting presentations
  • Enthusiasm for creative problem-solving and process improvement
  • Experience with Adobe, ArcGIS and Microsoft Access
  • Experience with online meeting and communications platforms such as Zoom and Slack
  • Interest in entrepreneurship or economic development in under-resourced communities
