Production Internship

Summary:

Suncrest United Methodist Church, led by Rev. Larry Buckland is growing and expanding. We are seeking qualified interns, who have a heart and passion for learning & making a difference in the lives of people. We have several open opportunities that require a minimum of 4 up to 8 hours per week.

 

Who We Are:

Suncrest United Methodist Church is a welcoming community dedicated to finding and celebrating God's presence in everyday interactions, from friendly handshakes at the church door to youth group mission trips. We're all about growing closer to God together. There are two services on Sundays 9:00 am and 11:00 am, with a typical service lasting about 50 minutes.  We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team.

 

Internship Opportunities Include:

Production: Help to create experiences that are memorable for in-house attendees and online viewers through audio, video, and lighting.

 

The Production Team will work collaboratively to:

  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Manage and maintain audio and visual equipment, including soundboards, microphones, projectors, and cameras, ensuring optimal performance during services and events.
  • Set Up and Troubleshoot: Set up audio and visual equipment before services and events, and troubleshoot any issues that arise quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Worship Team: Work closely with the worship team and pastors to understand their needs and provide technical support to enhance their presentations and services.
  • Monitor Sound and Visuals: Monitor and adjust audio levels and visual displays in real time to ensure a clear and engaging experience for the congregation.
  • Assist with Live Streaming: Manage live streaming of services, including camera operation and streaming software, to reach online audiences effectively.
  • Maintain Inventory and Supplies: Keep an organized inventory of audio and visual equipment, and handle repairs or replacements as needed. 
  • Develop manuals, texts, workbooks, or related materials for use in conjunction with production materials or for training

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 4 – 8 hours per week
