CROSSROADS FELLOWSHIP Missions Intern Position
JOB DESCRIPTION (20hrs/week)
The Missions intern will assist the Missions Department at Crossroads Fellowship across both campuses to ensure that all missions focused goals are accomplished. They will work with the Worship Department leadership to create and execute goals. The Missions intern is a vital role that offers the opportunity to (1) provide critical administrative support, and leadership support, to the Missions department, and (2) to provide significant opportunity for the intern to gain valuable ministry experience. This will include experience in managing multiple priorities, leading volunteers, and learning from current leaders, as well as developing relationship with local and global missions organizations and missionaries.
EXPECTATIONS
The internship position will function to aid the individual in personal challenge, and growth, in the following area:

- CHARACTER – carry out tasks, and pursue goals, with a high character that is modeled after that of Jesus Christ.
- CHEMISTRY – Demonstrate authenticity, be full of grace and truth, and be able to bond with the current team.
- COMPETENCY – Must be able to connect relationally with the team, CRF staff, and CRF attenders. Will need to have strong communication skills and follow-through on assignments, as well as being a fast learner. Will need to develop proficiency to lead volunteers when empowered to do so.
- CAPACITY – prioritize work time to focus on ministry tasks/goals during a 20hrs/week role.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency with social media used as promotional tool for storytelling
- Experience with video production and storyboarding
- Willingness to work with of people develop relationships with missions partners in the community, and logistically support CRF missionaries
- Experience in creating, and leading, a team of volunteers is preferred
The intern will report to the College Ministry Pastor / Internship Director, Mark Stroupe, but will primarily work with the CRF Missions Pastor. During work hours, the intern will be expected to be on arrive on time and be a team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY PROJECTS
- Social Media Campaign, Schedule, Storytelling: The intern will play a crucial role in crafting and executing engaging social media campaigns that resonate with our community. They will develop content schedules, tell compelling stories that reflect our mission, and help us connect with our congregation and broader audience through various social platforms.
- Community/Global Partner Relations (Finding out where the gaps are in connecting our people with partners): The intern will be tasked with the important mission of identifying opportunities to strengthen our connections with local and global partners. This role will be responsible for conducting research to pinpoint areas where we can enhance our support, fostering a stronger sense of community and global engagement.
- Missions Video Storyboarding (Training material, interviews, partner videos): The intern will be at the forefront of our multimedia efforts. They will be responsible for storyboarding, filming, and editing videos for training materials, interviews, and partner spotlights. The intern’s work will help us share impactful stories that inspire others to get involved in our mission.
- Volunteer coordination: The intern will be empowered and to equipped to take charge of mobilizing and organizing our volunteer base. In this role the intern will need to match individuals with suitable volunteer opportunities, ensure they feel valued and supported, and help us create thriving volunteer community dedicated to our mission.
- Event coordination/Project Management: With event coordination the intern will play a pivotal role in planning and executing meaningful events that align with our church's mission. The intern work closely with our team to organize gatherings, fundraisers, and outreach events, ensuring they run smoothly and leave a lasting impact.
- Mission Trip Project Management: This role would be part of a team who would co-lead on key mission trip tasks including management of trip details, logistics, and planning. This intern would learn how to interview applicants, develop devotionals for teams, and execute itinerary planning. Additionally, this role would participate in 1 international summer mission trip.
INTERNSHIP WORKFLOW – 20hrs/week
WEEKDAYS (M/W/Th, approx. 9am – 2pm) – 15 hours
- Arrive at designated time
- Check in with Mark Stroupe
- Check with Missions Pastor, and team, for task or project updates // Continue work for ongoing assignments
- Attend Missions Department meetings
WEEKDAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Progression and completion of Key Goals and Key Projects as assigned by Missions Pastor and other team leads
SUNDAYS (8am – 1pm) – 5 hours
- Arrive on site by 8am, unless otherwise directed by the Missions Pastor, or other team lead
- Check in with team lead for any changes to assignments.
- Execute all tasks that are assigned.
MONTHLY MTGS WITH INTERNSHIP DIRECTOR (Mark Stroupe, Internship Director)
- 1 mtg to for brief check in
- 1 mtg to join with other interns in the CRF Internship Program for encouragement, review of what is being learned, and how it all relates to the reality of ministry
