Nonprofit Volunteer

Franciscan Volunteer Ministry (FVM) is a year-long volunteer program for people interested in direct service, authentic community, and spiritual growth. Serving with Franciscan Friars, volunteers work five days a week at the St. Francis Inn Soup Kitchen where they prepare and serve meals, provide supplies and clothing, and, most importantly, get to know the guests. FVM volunteers commit to eating, praying, and having fun together at least once a week as part of intentional community. FVM offers room and board, access to a community car, a monthly stipend, and retreats throughout the year. FVM also offers health insurance (including co-pays and prescriptions) and assistance with student loans.
