KidsPointe Director Job Description:
Our KidsPointe ministry serves our CrossPointe Church families by overseeing the discipleship and safety of our children, from ages six weeks through 5th grade. As the KidsPointe Director, you have the opportunity to lead a ministry that helps children know God made them and that God loves them by creating an engaging team and environment that fosters connection.
General Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall mission and vision of CrossPointe, ensuring all KidsPointe worship experiences are executed with excellence
- Be a visible leader on the campus, executing the vision of CrossPointe Church and KidsPointe ministry
- Create environments, activities, and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
- Oversee all KidsPointe volunteer teams/functions, including Child Check-In, Curriculum preparation, and teaching
- Develop and adhere to a budget for KidsPointe in quarterly increments
- Develop and implement an infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the areas you oversee
- Manage the recruiting, training, development, and appreciation of the KidsPointe Volunteer team
- Communicate updates with parents on a consistent basis
Descriptive Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and security of children and KidsPointe space
- Ensure safety procedures are communicated, understood, and followed
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for toddler/preschool and elementary classrooms.
- Manage Planning Center Services to schedule and confirm Volunteers for Sunday services
- Follow up with First Time Guests (VIPs) who attend Sunday services
- Review, select, and order appropriate curriculum based on age group and teachings
- Prepare the curriculum and distribute it to ensure volunteers are prepared to serve
- Organize, set up, and stock classrooms with necessary supplies.
Must-Haves
- Has an active walk with Christ, and consistently exhibits a Christ-like character
- Bachelor’s degree with leadership experience or equivalent life experience
- Passion for children and families
- High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute
- Passionate about helping others discover, develop, and do life with Jesus
- Giving at least 10% of your income to the mission and vision of CrossPointe Church (tithing)
- Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills
- Working knowledge in Google Drive Suite & Planning Center operations
Nice-To-Haves
- Management experience
- Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit, or education setting
- Extensive knowledge in Planning Center applications (i.e., People, Services, Check-Ins)
