Operations & Events Generalist

Ada CRC is looking for our next staff member. The ideal candidate for this position is a person with an energetic, ready to serve attitude. If you like to be “in the know” regarding hospitality events, and experience the satisfaction of delivering immediate results based on immediate needs, this is the position for you. This position will require a level of familiarity with Ada CRC programs and events that enables all events at Ada CRC to have a welcoming, and ready-to-go
atmosphere. Lifting and shifting various pieces of equipment, furniture, tables, chairs, are a requirement for this position.

The Ada CRC Operations & Events Generalist will work under the supervision, and direction of the church’s elders and pastoral staff. This position will work closely with other Ada CRC staffers, volunteers, and the general public. Some of the duties assigned to this multi-talented and gracious individual will include (but are not limited to):

*Setup and tear down of church event spaces.
*Pick up and drop off of church supplies.
*Maintaining church storage spaces for events.
*Some General administrative tasks.
*Technical support for events.
*Food preparation & cleanup for events.
*Additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

The hours associated with this position are mostly related to events on the church campus.

Typical weekly work hours range between 12-15 hours. Some holiday work required. Required weekly times are:
Sunday mornings from 8:30-11:30am on location.
Tuesdays from 10:00-1:00pm on location.
Wednesday from 8:00-11:00am on location.
Thursdays from 10:00-1:00pm on location.

Some additional shifts may include Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm, and Friday or Saturday shifts for occasional events. During the school year this position averages more towards 15 hours per week, and during the summer this position averages more towards 10 hours per week.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Probationary Period:

The new hire will enter into a probationary period of 3 months, at the end of which, the new hire, and church oversight (Ada CRC council made up of pastors, elders and deacons) will review acclimation to the role, performance, areas to improvement, and recommendations to either part ways, or continue beyond the temporary probationary period.
