Sound & Zoom Technician
The following are the expectations you agree to adhere to during your role as our Zoom Tech/Sound Support.
- The term of the agreement is to provide IT and audio support at our Friday Evening Shabbat Services
- Arrival is no later than 6:00 pm during May-August and no later than 6:15 pm September-May for a 6:30 pm service start, unless otherwise specified and communicated.
- Duration of services generally lasts about an hour or an hour and fifteen minutes. Can leave when services are finished.
- Provide Audio/Visual support to Service Leaders and Zoom attendees
- If you are unable to attend on Friday evening, please let the Executive Director, Sarah Jacobs, and Rabbi Andy Gordon know as soon as possible.
- You will be paid for all sessions worked at the end of each month.
- You will receive a stipend of $50 for each Friday evening & Saturday morning, and for all other events, you will be paid $25 an hour.
- Other events include, but are not limited to, Jewish High Holy Days & Saturday Morning Services 10:30am-12pm (approx 15 annually), which can be discussed at a later date, depending on the availability of the Zoom/Sound Technician.
Role description: The Zoom/Sound Technician is responsible for managing and adjusting audio and recording equipment to ensure high-quality sound during live services, rehearsals, and streamed performances. This includes setting up microphones and audio interfaces, monitoring sound levels in real-time, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring clean audio capture for both live and recorded musical content.
