Position Summary: The Students Pastor will be the main influencer in the overall direction and momentum of student ministries at the campus while working to maintain alignment with the central student strategy, pursuing creativity in contextual expressions. This role will also shepherd a young person’s season of life transitioning from school to career. This will require having a “Do whatever it takes” mentality, being devoted to learning, and a willingness to be part of the big picture of what 2|42 Students are doing in a multi-site context.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of Student Ministry including: Small Groups, First Impressions, Events / Camps, Big Vision, Programming/Production, Discussion Groups.
- Provide direction and oversight for all student services and all teams.
- Be a “Leader of Leaders” who is capable of significant recruitment and getting other people on mission in order to help more students take more next steps with God than you’re capable of doing on your own.
- Grow your ministry to reach as many students as possible.
- Grow your teams to include the most high-capacity volunteers and leaders as possible.
- Track and measure the growth and effectiveness of your ministry.
- Maintain required student:leader ratios
- Shepherd graduated seniors in their transition into adult discipleship, working alongside the community life team to ensure ongoing connection and growth.
- Build meaningful partnerships with middle schools and high schools across Washtenaw County.
- Work with Campus Pastor and Family Ministry Director to help set & achieve term goals.
