Overview
Calvary Church is a historic, mission-minded congregation with deep roots in our community dating back to the early 1800s. As we look to the future, we are seeking an Assistant Pastor who will help us reach and disciple the next generation while honoring the faithful legacy that has brought us here.
This role focuses on engaging young families, students, and the broader community, while also serving the whole church body—including our senior members—with pastoral care and teaching.
This is also a leadership development role, with intentional mentoring toward potential future senior pastoral leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop next-generation and family ministries
- Build relationships in the community through outreach and evangelism
- Preach and teach as part of the pulpit ministry
- Equip and develop volunteers and ministry leaders
- Assist with pastoral care (visitation, counseling, weddings, funerals)
- Collaborate with staff and church leadership (Session, ministry teams)
- Help plan and lead worship services and special events
