Position: Full-Time or Part-Time
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Position Overview:
Hillcrest Baptist Church is seeking a passionate, relational, and spiritually mature Family
Life Minister to help younger generations grow into committed followers of Jesus. This
individual will build teams around all ministry aspects of young families. Their leadership
will provide vision, inspiration, oversight, and direction. A primary focus will be on
leading, teaching, and preparing our youth as they step out into future life paths.
Key Responsibilities & Leadership:
Develop and implement a strategic vision for family ministry aligned with Hillcrest’s
mission and values. This includes leadership and support to all ministries within our
church relating to nursery, children, youth, young adult, and young couples.
Foster intergenerational connections within the church body
Empower and lead volunteers to develop their gifts of service
Provide pastoral care and referrals as needed
Youth Ministry:
Select and implement a curriculum that is relevant and relatable
Disciples and mentor
Ensure safe, engaging, and Biblically grounded environments
Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers
Plan and implement retreats, mission trips, special events, and local mission
opportunities
Equip parents as primary spiritual leaders in the home
Personal Qualifications:
Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and teachable spirit
All values and personal life align with scripture
Good reputation and integrity in all areas of their life
Ordained with degree in ministry
Previous experience in ministry preferred
Strong relationship skills with children, youth, and adults that inspires outreach
Experience in guiding growth to overcome personal trauma
The ability to work closely with other Ministry Staff and Ministry Leaders
A dependable self-starter with initiative and creativity
Administration:
Help with ministry budget and calendars.
Maintain compliance with child protection policies
Collaborate with church staff and ministry teams
Attend meetings as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
Full time preferred, but will discuss bivocational options. Salary and benefit package
commensurate with experience.
