Director of Youth Ministry
Union Baptist Church of Swissvale is seeking a passionate and strategic leader to serve as our Director of Youth Ministry.
This individual will provide primary leadership for our youth while also collaborating with our existing Children’s Ministry Team to ensure alignment, continuity, and a clear pathway of discipleship from childhood into adolescence.
We are looking for a builder — someone who can develop systems, equip volunteers, and cultivate a Christ-centered culture of belonging and spiritual growth for the next generation.

Primary Responsibilities
- Youth Ministry Leadership
- Develop and lead consistent discipleship gatherings for middle and high school students
- Recruit, train, and shepherd youth volunteers
- Create and execute an annual ministry vision and calendar
- Foster relationships with students and their families
- Integrate youth into the broader life and worship of the church
- Meet regularly with the Children’s Ministry Team for planning and support
- Partner on major churchwide events (VBS, family initiatives, transitions into youth ministry)
Qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for discipling youth
- Experience leading students in a church, school, or nonprofit setting
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to build and equip volunteer teams
- Commitment to biblically grounded, Christ-centered ministry
- Background check required
