Associate Director of Faith, Family, Discipleship

The Diocese of Greensburg is currently seeking a passionate, Christ-centered, people-focused leader to serve as Associate Director of Faith, Family, and Discipleship. This key position supports and advances our diocesan mission by providing mentorship and support to our Regional Directors, who implement engaging and effective faith formation and youth ministry initiatives in multiple parishes. This position collaborates with the other members of the Office of Faith, Family, and Discipleship on diocesan formation and discipleship projects, programs, and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep love for the Catholic faith, strong leadership skills, and a desire to empower employees and volunteers to build vibrant parishes and grow personally as missionary disciples.

Qualified applicants for the Associate Director position must:

  • Be a practicing Catholic in good standing (a registered member of a Catholic parish faith community).
  • Believe and profess the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and be able to promote and proclaim them.
  • Have familiarity with various models of catechetical formation and youth ministry models.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to multiple locations with self-provided reliable transportation.
  • Have at least a Master’s degree in theology or similar field.
  • Have at least five years of experience as a director of faith formation or youth ministry at the parish or diocesan level.
  • Successfully pass Criminal Background Checks and complete Safe Environment requirements for the Diocese of Greensburg and maintain this clearance.

The position reports to the Managing Director of Faith, Family, and Discipleship and is full-time exempt. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends, is necessary to succeed in this position. The Associate Director will have office space at the Pastoral Center of the Diocese.
