Part Time Youth Pastor

Job Title: Youth and Young Adult Pastor

Location: Kalam Christian Church, Roslyn, New York

Position Type: Part-Time (Required Sunday message delivery and Friday or Saturday night fellowship)

Compensation:

- Annual Salary $40,000; health insurance is not provided.

About Us:

Kalam Church is a small Taiwanese/Chinese Church, we are seeking a pastor to lead and mentor between 10-15 English speaking youths/young adults. 

Responsibilities:

- Lead Sunday worship services.

- Develop, plan, and lead programs for youth and young adults, which includes weekly group meetings, Bible studies, and special events.

- Offer support and counseling addressing their spiritual, emotional, and social needs.

Qualifications:

- A strong and growing personal relationship with the Triune God.

- Deep understanding in the Word of God and Christian doctrine.

- Theological education.

- Ability to connect with young people and understand their unique challenges and opportunities.

Doctrinal Alignment:

- Commitment to the authority of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and the ultimate guide for faith and practice.

- Adherence to traditional evangelical Christian doctrines, rejecting liberal theology.

- Agreement with and willingness to teach and uphold the church’s doctrinal positions, including complementarian theology, moral and ethical teachings (such as pro-life), and traditional biblical views on marriage and sexuality, as they apply to pastoral ministry.
