About:
Wesley Woods Christian Camp is a summer camp located on 500 acres in Grand Valley in Northwestern PA (about an hour from Erie). Each summer we have between 250 and 300 campers (not including our summer guest groups who bring about 200 of their own participants and leaders). Camp sessions run Sunday morning through Friday night (off between sessions)
Our mission is connecting people to God through Jesus Christ. We do this in a camp based setting, with camps varying from traditional models (Best of Summer Sampler- BOSS week) to our specialty camps (NERF, Adventure, Exceptional Persons, and more). Each of these camps exist to provide a fun and hospitable context where people can encounter Christ and establish/deepen a relationship with Him.
Having the right people is CENTRAL to what we do. That’s where you come in.
Position:
The Summer Day Camp Manager works directly with the Executive Director of Wesley Woods in order to lead our traveling day camp at various church sites. This person will handle the logistics working directly with various pastors and volunteers at the sites and be the lead for the programming. The camp season runs from June 1st through August 8th. Weeks off can be requested.

- Leadership experience in both leading the events, another staff member and volunteers, as well as organizational experience as you help craft the schedule and activities

Qualifications:
● Have a personal and saving faith in Christ
● Have a positive and teachable attitude with a desire to learn and work as a member of a team
● Current student studying Education, Psychology, Youth Ministry, or a related field
● Experience working with children; experience in day camp setting preferred
● Experience planning activities and designing schedules preferred
● Excellent interpersonal skills, as you’ll be the face of our organization with site leaders, volunteers, and the campers
● Valid Driver’s license and transportation is required. Staff will be reimbursed mileage for driving to and from the Day Camp site.
Responsibilities:
● Construct weekly and daily schedules for Day Camp (templates from last year exist, but we want to continually innovate and improve)
● Lead the Day Camp programming alongside Assistant Day Camp Manager or Program Facilitators at our various church sites
● Handle site-specific logistics- including but not limited to: securing alternative locations for campers, working with director to acquire necessary supplies, ensuring supplies get to location, getting necessary paperwork from churches
● If possible, assist in recruitment of Assistant Day Camp Manager
