Spanish-Speaking Therapist

Outreach is hiring a full-time Spanish-Speaking Therapist at Outreach Counseling Center Warrenville and York to provide individual, youth, couples, and family therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • The Spanish-Speaking Therapist will maintain a full-time caseload of 22 to 25 clients, split between the York and Warrenville sites
  • The Spanish-Speaking Therapist will provide individual, youth, couples, and family therapy, including assessment, treatment and termination, and coordination of services. 
  • The Spanish-Speaking Therapist will work with the clinical team to initiate and maintain community relationships related to counseling services.
  • The Spanish-Speaking Therapist will participate in team meetings, clinical training, and other agency activities. 
  • The Spanish-Speaking Therapist will participate in the planning and improvement process at the agency to help improve the effectiveness of the counseling program and the agency as a whole.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, with at least 2 evenings per week. Possibility to work condensed Monday – Thursday schedule. Average of 40 hours per week.

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. 
  • LCSW/LCPC/LMFT Licensure is required with at least 1 year experience post licensure.
  • Ability to engage clients, complete assessments and treatment plans, and carry out strategic interventions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required and experience offering clinical services in Spanish is required.
  • Ability to navigate the larger mental health and social services delivery systems.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a low-income, culturally diverse population.
  • Experience in community mental health preferred. 
  • A valid driver's license and ability to drive to and from service and meeting locations.
