Graduate Student - Kazakhstan
Come help us build our REI team while earning a master’s degree in one of several possible disciplines at Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU). Learn Kazakh as well as functional Russian to expand your social mobility and relational influence. Live out and share your faith among local and international students and faculty from unreached peoples across Central Asia and beyond. Embed yourself as an ambassador for the Kingdom of God and an apprentice of Jesus Christ along with us. You will be blessed as a peacemaker bringing reconciliation and restoration to those who do not yet know Him.
You will join our regional leaders who are highly educated professionals with combined decades of experience in academia, education and development work in Central Asia. You’ll be mentored in disciplemaking in a predominantly Muslim context with a focus on justice and righteousness applied in an emerging nation.
This opportunity provides a blend of quality international academic training in your field, integrated with biblical and cross-cultural mentoring for a life of holistic, Kingdom-building service among the unreached. You’ll be guided in your personal and spiritual contribution, as well as developing professional skills, growing in your knowledge and character.
The university has had strong influence from expatriate and local believers and has integrated a servant leadership curriculum among faculty, staff and students. Many non-believers at KAFU have integrated servant leadership principles into their own lives and treat others around them with remarkable dignity and respect.
There are many opportunities to establish connections with other students outside the classroom, such as through attending campus events, living in the dorms and participating in clubs. Some existing clubs include the student newspaper, business, event planning committee, debate, legal, dance, psychology, language, tourism, volunteering association and more.
