Unto Agriculture Coordinator

The Unto® Agriculture Program exists to help express the Great Commandment and advance the Great Commission through agriculture. We seek to show the kindness of Jesus in the toughest places on Earth by relieving food insecurity, empowering people through agricultural education, and revealing hope. Our vision is that there will be agricultural movements everywhere so that communities experience abundance. We accomplish this through four-day international workshops where we teach about composting, raised garden beds, drip irrigation, and other topics. 

Job Description

Unto Agriculture Program works in partnership with international Cru® ministries and their partners. Together we serve and work with communities facing food insecurity around the world in order to demonstrate the kindness of Jesus by relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and revealing hope through sustainable agricultural projects and education.

Qualities, Characteristics, and Education 

  • Passion about relieving food insecurity through sustainable practices and education.
  • Organized.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible.
  • Adaptable.
  • Willing to lead small teams.
  • Desire to serve internationally.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Interest in the natural sciences.
  • Background in agriculture is not required.

Responsibilities

  • 40 hours of work per week.
  • Virtually from home: Monday and Friday.
  • In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Advance and participate in the broad spectrum of agriculture projects.
  • Attend a minimum of three international workshops.
  • Attend regular team meetings and retreats.
  • Assist with trip planning and execution:
    • Define trip strategy.
    • Develop budgets.
    • Conduct visa research.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements.
    • Create agricultural data reports.
    • Assemble workshop supply kits.
  • Travel international and domestically on Unto short-term agriculture workshop trips.
  • Represent Unto at Cru campus events, such as Winter Conference.

Ability to:

  • Manage the program’s database.
  • Work on material development.
  • Coordinate program inventory.
  • Work in partnership with various Unto programs.
  • Perform duties on the field in both physically and emotionally challenging environments.

NOTE: This is a missionary support raising role meaning that Cru pays you from the missionary support you raise. We train and coach you well in this process. The application is open until March 1, 2026 and decisions are made thereafter. We also host a preview weekend for this role in Orlando in early February 2026.
