Children's Ministry Director

·        Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the children’s ministry

·        Plan and lead weekly children’s church program

·     Ensure the Bible is taught clearly and effectively to best serve and reach each age appropriately

·        Continually evaluate curriculum for all age levels

·        Recruit leaders, teachers, and volunteers for all children’s programs

·        Organize training and planning sessions for children’s leaders, teachers, and volunteers

·   Screen children’s leaders, teachers, and volunteers, according to Church policies and procedures, prior to placing them in ministry

·        Supervise and support all leaders, teachers, and volunteers as they serve in the ministry

·        Observe, evaluate, and affirm leaders, teachers, and volunteers in order to note strengths to encourage and areas where improvement is possible

·        Train leaders, teachers, volunteers in child protection policies and procedures

·        Investigate any complaints regarding children’s ministry staff/volunteers

·        Pray for the children and children’s ministry staff

·        Approve all children’s ministries programs, curricula, and activities.

·     Work with appropriate church staff or volunteers to construct or obtain props or materials needed for the children’s church program

·        Plan special seasonal and monthly activities for children including but not limited to VBS

·        Be able to work Wednesdays 6:30- 9 pm and Sunday 8:00 – 1 pm

·        Other duties as needed
