“I loved working for a non-profit organization whose mission is the same as mine—to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only do they treat their interns like employees, but they take time to fully teach you the ropes and help you grow as an individual. I found myself not just being challenged mentally in career skills, but also socially and spiritually. Every person I met seemed to live out their faith in a way that was both welcoming and comforting. This included a host family, which allowed me to live in Charlotte for free and become a part of their household. In addition, I made several lifelong friends with the other interns, and we enjoyed exploring Charlotte on the weekends. Ultimately, I found myself not wanting the internship to end and truly loved showing up to work daily—so much so that I returned to the organization and am now working their full-time.”
